Glenn Zeen – Glenn Zeen is the brains behind the G-Phactory operation. G-Phactory is the culmination of Glenn’s love for karting that started like any other dad – as a hobby to spend time with his boys. His hobby has expanded to include a professional kart racing operation and racing team competing at the highest level in North American karting – but the simple joy of enjoying time at the racetrack with his boys remains. Glenn is a fixture trackside at kart races across the country and around the world.

Preston Newberry – As the General Manager at G-Phactory, Preston oversees the entire operation, from running the shop, to the trackside operation of the race team at events across the country. Preston has a deep knowledge of tuning Sodi Karts, as well as a wide variety of engines – including HPV, TaG, Rotax, KF, and Stock Honda.  Years of working as a mechanic, tuner, and team owner have made Preston one of North American karting’s most knowledgeable personalities and the perfect guy to lead G-Phactory.

Karting is the purest form of motorsport there is. We love it; we live and breathe it every day. Each member of the G-Phactory team is a racer to the core, and nothing matches karting for competition or intensity.

You won’t find a group of people more into karting than we are.


History of G-Phactory

Glenn Zeen opened G-Phactory in early 2005 to ensure his sons were racing well-prepared equipment that would allow them to enjoy racing karts and, at the same time, allow him to enjoy being at the track with his sons. Immediately, he realized that the shop had filled a gap in the karting marketplace in Southern California, growing rapidly enough that the shop was relocated to a much larger shop in only two years.  Almost as immediately, they found success in North American karting’s toughest arena – Stars of Karting, where they took the 2005 ICA National championship.

In late 2006, G-Phactory was selected by Sodi Kart to not only carry their line of karts, but to be the official team of Sodi Racing USA. Not long after, G-Phactory moved into their Huntington Beach shop.  Sodi Karts run by G-Phactory have since won races in several major karting series, including in the Stars of Karting,ProKart Challenge North, ProKart Challenge South, IKF Region 7 and the Gatorz Challenge of the Americas, in addition to winning regularly at the local Los Angeles Kart Club. The shop and team have also enjoyed success at the largest events, including the SKUSA Supernationals and the IKF Grand Nationals.

G-Phactory is now established not only as a major racing team for major series and races, but a strong supporter of its local drivers that compete locally.
